A crowd came to feel something. The ticket is a promise.

National artists and visiting international artists. The artist or their management brings the headliner and a date. We look at the calendar first. If that week already has a heavy football night, a national holiday, or another big concert, we say so. Move it a week. Keep the fire.

We size the room from how many people that artist actually draws, not from how big the dream is. Lounge. Club. Theatre. Ground. Stadium. On a tour, the same show through Lusaka, the Copperbelt, and Livingstone. One production language. Local crew in each city.

The headliner is yours. The openers are ours to build, unless you already have the names: one, two, or three. We hold paper and the city — venue contract, council, police, fire, public health, the National Arts Council promoter licence, and ZAMCOPS, because the organiser pays the copyright, not the band. Stage, sound, light, ticketing, security, crew, and settlement.

There is no fee charged to the artist. Mulilo is paid a percentage of ticket sales. Security, ticketing, and crew are house standing orders, so the rate is a house rate. The books are open from the first hold to settlement. The job is to maximise artist profit.

For a visiting act, the ground work is ours as well: papers, the flight day, a rider we can actually fill, and a local bill. Concept and billing support. Artist flow. The show clock. Club rooms, tents, theatres, and national arenas. The production standard does not drop when the room gets smaller.

A fair or an expo runs longer than a concert, and the crowd arrives in waves. We scale the same house to the site: layout, power, wayfinding, the permits the ground needs, crowd flow, and a stage when the programme has one.
